Pre-installation checklist

  • Start by planning the work. Make sure you have the correct number and size of purses. Inspect the site and mark prop locations if necessary.

  • Make sure the base plate and top plate of your prop are directly aligned. Also make sure that the floor surface and the roof surface are strong enough to support the weight that will be placed on it.
  • When the props are mounted on a flexible surface, such as a gravel surface, each support should stand on a wooden soleplate or its equivalent. The wooden soleplate should be at least 225 mm (9 inches) wide and 38 mm (1.5 inches) thick. It should be long enough to project at least 300 mm (1 foot) on either side of the base plate of the prop. Post installation checklist

  • The props left to support the curing slab may loosen over time. As the slab heals, it shrinks naturally, which can cause the prop to loosen, so it is recommended that a qualified person inspect them and tighten them regularly.
  • At least once a week, all props should be inspected.
  • Make sure the area is safe from the public if the props are left unattended.
  • Do not tie or tie anything with a purse.
