How to style Wishbone chairs

The highchair, a piece of timeless design that we can thank Hans Wegner for, is one of the pieces that miraculously fits in any room. At first glance, it seems quite minimalist. The chair with curved back fits effortlessly with super simple furniture. On the other hand, the same style offers the perfect palate cleaning in an eclectic space, which tones down loud wallpapers and lively patterns. To prove their versatility, we have recreated three different spaces, each showing a new way of styling an armchair.

In Another Ballroom’s founder Karen Maj Kornum’s former home, she created a quiet dining room with light wooden furniture and a matching set of armchairs. The addition of dark industrial lighting provides the perfect contrast.

In this corner, interior designer Ben Pentreath pairs chairs that do not match with a polished tulip table. He completes the homely feeling with well-stocked, built-in bookshelves and eclectic home decor.
