JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers, who fell in love and got engaged on her season of The Bachelorettewill host a new reality dating television show, The Big D. JoJo, a now-31-year-old real estate developer from Dallas, Texas, was first introduced to Bachelor Nation on Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor in 2016. She was the runner-up, but she was so popular and loved by the viewers that she became The Bachelorette later that year. JoJo and Jordan, a now-33-year-old former college and professional football player and sports commentator, will be married this month and celebrate with an Italian-themed wedding.
JoJo and Jordan have hosted shows together in the past. In 2018, they appeared in a Kin web series called Engaged with JoJo and Jordan, which was described as a combination of reality tv and DIY home decor. They then hosted the CNBC reality show Cash Pad in 2019, a show about house flipping. On the show, JoJo was able to use her skills as a real estate developer to work with Jordan to help homeowners transform their properties into short-term vacation rentals. Later that year, The Bachelorette couple hosted Battle of the Fittest Couples on the Paramount Network, a show in which couples competed against each other to win a $ 100,000 cash prize and the title of “Fittest Couple.”
Now, E! News reports that JoJo and Jordan will help divorced couples to find new love in a new TBS reality dating competition series called The Big D which premieres on July 7. On the show, six recently divorced couples move to a tropical resort in Costa Rica to try to find love with other people who have found themselves recently single. The twist is that they have to live with their exes while they are dating the other contestants. The trailer for the show delivers plenty of drama and emotion, with The Bachelorette stars JoJo and Jordan serving as guides as the hosts. In the trailer, Jordan tells the contestants, “Believe it or not, your ex is actually here to help you.”
According to the network, the group will take part in “revealing relationship EX-ercises designed to help the singles form connections, make peace with their former partners, and finally get over the issues holding them back from dating.” During each episode, one person who “isn’t relationship material” will be eliminated. The network reveals that “jealous exes may try to send their rival home or perhaps even defend their exes’ honor — the possibilities are endless.” The trailer is intense, filled with arguments, confessions of love, and typical reality dating television show drama. Whether or not the contestants find love like the kind JoJo and Jordan found on The Bachelorette remains to be seen, but the show certainly seems like it will deliver plenty of laughter and tears throughout the season.
JoJo and Jordan’s latest venture into reality television with The Big D looks like a great choice for viewers who love a good summer reality television show. Their time on The Bachelorette will certainly help them to guide these contestants in the right direction. Perhaps JoJo and Jordan can help the people trying to start over after divorce on The Big D to find lasting love like theirs.
