  • First, clean the carpet floor that you will be leveling completely. As you are applying concrete to the existing floor, it is important to make sure that you have removed any visible debris before starting to use fresh concrete.
  • Be sure to apply concrete, especially on critical areas. Even particularly uneven parts of the floor and repair cracks that can form on the surface of the existing floor. Fill such areas with concrete so that the surface is almost viable before starting the process of leveling the entire floor of the said vehicle shelter. Allow the concrete patches to dry completely before pouring more concrete on top.
  • Build retaining walls. When you are using wet concrete on the floor, you will need to make approximately two to three inches of wood or metal retaining walls in the surface boundary area to prevent the concrete from spreading over the sides of the surface. can go. However, the length of retaining walls will depend on the amount of concrete you are considering laying sooner or later. Apply duct tape to any joints or cracks in the existing surface to prevent concrete from seeping into the cracks.
  • The next step is to apply the primer. Before laying fresh concrete, you will need to apply a layer of primer to provide a surface coating for the concrete to stick. Depending on the condition of the corrugated surface, you may need to apply more than one layer of primer before laying the concrete.
  • Combine coating concrete. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions on how to properly mix concrete with water in suitable parts. Use a stir drill connected to an electric drill to completely blend the mixture as a whole.
  • After that, pour the concrete. To find out if the concrete mix is ​​still mixed with another person, start pouring the mixture evenly over the carport. Make sure that the concrete reaches the corners along the rigid axis of the carport so that the concrete mix can be found as it sinks to its surface. Use a troll to spread the concrete along the sides and corners. Do this in several sets as needed to reach the preferred height of the fresh coating.
  • Finally, let the concrete dry. You will need enough time for the concrete to dry completely, before any weight is placed on it. Proper drying time can usually be found in the instructions indicated by the manufacturer.
