Amazon may not be the first place you think of for supporting small businesses, but the company is committed to highlighting entrepreneurs and under-the-radar brands through its online storefronts. Whether you want to discover rare home decor you’ll never find at a big box store or locally made pantry items, Amazon makes it surprisingly easy to shop small. You can specify your shopping by region or by family-owned, women-owned, and military-owned businesses. And while you can support color-year-round communities, Amazon is helping shoppers discover Black-owned businesses during Black History Month.

The website’s Black History Month storefront helps customers find and support Black artists and Black-owned businesses across the shopping spectrum, including home decor, fashion, beauty products, kids’ items, books, music, and more. It’s filled with thousands of products. Some of our favorites are a double-brushed microfiber sheet set from the brand Pampered By Porsha, a stone grill cleaner that removes stuck-on grease, and a Conrad Shopping bread basket set that includes a proofing basket, a dough scraper, a scoring tool , bread stencils, a whisk, and a storage bag.

The online store also highlights a few entrepreneurs, like Pierre Thiam, the chef and founder of Yolélé. His food brand makes fonio, a grain native to West Africa that’s similar to couscous, for American consumers. Amazon also features Bolden, a skincare brand made specifically for women of color, and Inklings, a math and memory game made for kids ages 5 and up.

Whether you’re looking for unique kitchen tools, handmade home decor, or stories that educate and inspire, shopping from Black-owned brands is easier than ever. Head to Amazon’s Black History Month storefront today to check out all of the products.
